Last updated: 3 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FabricsValley (โ€œweโ€, โ€œusโ€, โ€œourโ€) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you visit fabricsvalley.com, contact us, create an account or place an order. We handle personal information in line with the applicable laws of Bangladesh, including the Personal Data Protection Ordinance, 2025.

By using our website you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We only collect the information we need to sell and deliver your order and to look after you as a customer.

  • Order details: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, any order notes and the products you buy.
  • Account details (only if you create an account): your name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form, so we cannot read it), saved addresses and order history.
  • Messages: the name, email, phone number and message you send through our contact form, and your email address if you join our newsletter.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you visit, recorded by our web server for security and to keep the website working.
  • Order source: when you place an order, our shop software records how you arrived on the website (for example from a search engine or a social media link), your device type and how many pages you viewed.

Payment information: we currently accept cash on delivery only. We never ask for or store bank card, bKash, Nagad, Rocket or other payment account details on this website.

How we use your information

  • To process, pack and deliver your order and to collect payment on delivery.
  • To contact you about your order by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email, for example to confirm details or arrange delivery.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To manage your account if you have one.
  • To send you news and offers, only if you have subscribed to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our website and customers safe.
  • To understand which products and pages are popular so we can improve our website and collection.
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as sales and accounting records.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Why we are allowed to use it

  • To fulfil your order (contract): we cannot deliver an order without your name, phone number and address.
  • Your consent: for example when you subscribe to our newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legitimate business needs: keeping the website secure, preventing fraud and improving our service, in ways you would reasonably expect.
  • Legal obligations: keeping records or sharing information when the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when it is needed, and only what is needed:

  • Delivery partners: the courier delivering your parcel receives your name, phone number, delivery address and the amount to collect.
  • Service providers: companies that host and maintain our website and its technical systems, who may only use the data to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities: government or law-enforcement bodies when we are legally required to, or to protect our customers and our business from fraud.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them only for these purposes:

  • Essential: keeping items in your cart, keeping you signed in and protecting forms against misuse. The shop cannot work without them.
  • Order source: remembering how you arrived on our website so this can be recorded with your order (see above). These cookies expire automatically.
  • Preferences on your device: remembering whether you have already seen our offer pop-up and any accessibility settings you choose.

We currently do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. If this changes, we will update this policy first. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout will not work without essential cookies.

How long we keep your information

  • Orders: for as long as needed to deliver the order, handle returns or questions, and meet legal and accounting requirements.
  • Accounts: until you ask us to delete your account.
  • Messages: for as long as needed to answer your question and keep a reasonable record of our conversation.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect your information

Our website uses a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored in encrypted form, access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do their job, and we keep our website software up to date and backed up. No online service can be 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will act quickly if a problem occurs.

Your rights

Under the laws of Bangladesh, including the Personal Data Protection Ordinance, 2025, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information when we no longer need to keep it;
  • stop using your information for something you agreed to, such as our newsletter;
  • give your information to you in a common format so you can move it elsewhere.

If you have an account, you can update most of your details yourself in My Account. For anything else, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, and we will reply as soon as we reasonably can.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to other services such as WhatsApp, Facebook or YouTube. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
